TeamERA magazine was chosen among more than 5,900 entries. The APEX awards are based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content, success conveying the message and overall communications effectiveness. APEX 2002, the "14th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence," is an international competition that recognizes outstanding publications ranging from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and Web sites. This year's panel of judges included journalism professors, publishers and editors. P.J. Martin Smith, senior vice president of marketing, ERA Franchise Systems LLC said, "We're honored that communications professionals have recognized the magazine. Last year, we redesigned the publication to better serve our membership. We added more features on ERA teammates around the world, articles with tips to help sales associates and brokers build their businesses, and information about current real estate trends. Also, affiliates now receive the magazine more frequently so they are regularly informed about new ERA products and services." The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is annual competition for writers, editors, publications staff, and business and nonprofit communicators. Communications Concepts, Inc., publishers of business communications reports, including Writing That Works, a monthly newsletter for professional communicators, sponsor the awards program.
