ERA FRANCHISE SYSTEMS LLC ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WINNERS
Three grants totaling $30,000 presented to family members of ERA Real Estate professionals

PARSIPPANY, NJ, March 15, 2004 – At its annual International Business Conference (IBC) in Las Vegas, ERA Franchise Systems LLC recognized three winners of the recently created ERA Real Estate Scholarship Grant Program. Each winner received a $10,000 check to further his or her academic pursuits.

Brenda Casserly, president and COO of ERA Franchise Systems LLC, and Bob Moles, president and CEO of the Cendant Real Estate Franchise Group, were on hand to personally present the scholarship grants to the three winners:

  • Aaryn Decker of Whitney Point, N.Y., a freshman at Ithaca College and the daughter of Michael Decker, the broker/owner of ERA Decker Real Estate in Whitney Point.

  • Jennifer Villalobos of Molalla, Ore., the daughter of Melinda Villalobos, a sales associate with ERA Northwest Professional Realty in Salem, Ore. Jennifer is a senior at Molalla High School.

  • Christian Wood of Kaneohe, Hawaii, a freshman at Brigham Young University - Hawaii. Christian is the son of Lea Wood, a sales associate with ERA The Home Connection in Pocatello, Idaho.

"ERA Franchise Systems LLC is proud to establish this program, and we are equally proud of its first three worthy grant recipients," said Casserly. "The scholarship program is our way of honoring the dedication to the industry our ERAŽ professionals consistently display, as well as the support that their families have provided for their careers."

The grant program was open to children, grandchildren or legal wards of real estate professionals affiliated with the ERA system. Eligible candidates had to have a current cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), demonstrate financial need and reflect the same ideals for which ERA real estate professionals are so well known: leadership, volunteerism and a commitment to life-long learning.
