ERA® REAL ESTATE ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF NATIONWIDE LISTING CONTEST Parsippany, NJ (August 16, 1999) – After three months of intense competition among sales associates nationwide, ERA Real Estate announced today the winners of its 1999 Home Listing Contest. In March, ERA challenged its members in a three-month competition to acquire listings. National and monthly awards were presented to those associates who successfully posted the most exclusive, right-to-sell 180-day listing agreements in April, May and June. "Listings are the backbone of the real estate industry. We strive to provide our members with the tools they need to acquire them more effectively," said Peter Burgdorff, ERA Real Estate President and CEO. "We are delighted that our members accepted the challenge and made this contest an exciting event for ERA and its members nationwide." National prizes included a trip for two to the 1999 ERA European Conference in Paris complete with airfare, hotel accommodations and up to $1,000 in cash. Preparing to say "bonjour" in November are national award-winners Linda Loetscher of ERA Realty Center, Cameron Park, CA, who took top honors with a total of 161 listings; Sue Frye, ERA Landmark Real Estate of Bozeman, MT, who placed second with 79 listings; and Richard Schilling of ERA Muske Company Real Estate, Forest Lake, MN, whose 60 listings earned him the third place finish. Additionally, all three will be invited to appear on ERAtv, a systemwide weekly satellite television broadcast, to discuss how to successfully obtain saleable listings. Monthly regional winners were awarded free registration to the 1999 ERA Beyond Excellence conference in Newport, Rhode Island in July plus up to $1,000 credit at the ERA Marketing Store.
