ERA® REAL ESTATE EMBARKS ON ERATV WORLD TOUR
Custom Motor Home Hits the Road Visiting Selected ERA Offices Nationwide
Parsippany, NJ, (April 15, 1998) – Jack Kerouac did it. So did Charles Kuralt. Now ERA Real Estate is taking its message over the highways and byways of America on its 1998 ERAtv World Tour. The ERAtv World Tour begins Thursday, April 16 at its corporate headquarters in New Jersey and will travel 10,000 miles in the United States, visiting ERA brokers and sales associates in 10 Southern states in the first six weeks. The tour will hit the road on its second trip in the Fall, visiting ERA offices in the Northern United States. Launched in July of 1997, ERAtv is a satellite television network program, providing real estate training, technology updates and marketing tips to the ERA brokerage network in the continental U.S. Programming is broadcast weekly via satellite on RealNet Direct Television. "The ERAtv World Tour will allow for ground-breaking broadcasts from many of our brokers' and agents' offices, across the country," said Peter Burgdorff, ERA President and CEO. "The World Tour will give our brokers and sales associates the opportunity to share their professional expertise with other ERA offices throughout the country." The ERAtv World Tour is designed to bring all ERA offices together through weekly television broadcasts. In selected cities, the ERAtv motor home will produce and broadcast news segments focusing on the personal experiences of individual ERA offices, brokers and agents. For example, during one of the Tour's first stops in Richmond, VA, ERAtv will produce a segment titled "Converting FSBOs" at ERA Woody Hogg & Associates. Woody Hogg will discuss his experience with prospecting For Sale By Owner homes and this important element of his business, allowing agents and sales associates nationwide to hear directly from "the trenches" on the topics that are important to them everyday. The ERAtv World Tour will also showcase a variety of segments on technology, agent recruiting and marketing. ERA will also spotlight top producers regarding the tools and techniques they utilize to be successful. In Phoenix, ERAtv will host a special segment. Home renovation expert, Bob Yapp, of the PBS television show About Your House with Bob Yapp, will be on hand to discuss how home buyers and sellers can fix their home up for sale or after the home purchase. Last month, ERA announced its sponsorship of the About Your House with Bob Yapp program for the '98-99 season. Another stop on the tour will be the annual ERA meeting for top producers, Top 50/100/200 and Beyond Excellence. This year the gathering of the "best of the best" at ERA is in Palm Desert, Calif. at the Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa. The ERAtv motor home will stop at the meeting in May to tape top ERA producers for future ERAtv segments. The ERAtv World Tour will travel from Parsippany, NJ on April 16 through Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, California, Missouri and Kentucky, before arriving back at corporate headquarters on May 25. ERA executives, including Burgdorff and Vice President of Marketing, Terri Mueller, will join the tour in selected cities throughout the six-week trip.
