THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS HONORS ERA® REAL ESTATE FOR SUPPORT OF THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION
New Jersey Congressman to Present Congressional Record Statement to ERA PARSIPPANY, NJ (November 13, 1997) – The United States Congress has honored ERA® Real Estate for its 20 year commitment as a national sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. To honor ERA, the world's fourth largest residential real estate network, Congressman Rodney P. Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) entered a notation into the Congressional record earlier today, celebrating ERA Real Estate's 20 year and $25 million commitment to MDA. Congressman Frelinghuysen will present the statement to ERA executives at a ceremony on December 8 at ERA headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. "ERA Real Estate has exemplified the stance our country is taking on volunteerism," said Frelinghuysen. "Twenty years and $25 million is a rare commitment in community service and ERA members should be proud of what they have achieved." "The support from ERA Real Estate has been vital in the lives of 'my kids,' "said actor/comedian Jerry Lewis, national chairman of MDA. "This honor represents the tremendous work they have done for MDA in the last two decades." During the past 20 years, ERA brokers and agents nationwide have raised nearly $25 million for the organization by hosting MDA fund-raising events in their communities.
