Charlie Young is chief operating officer of ERA Franchise Systems LLC. Appointed in February 2009, Young is responsible for enhancing the ERA value proposition and the implementation of growth and profitability strategies for its member brokers across a 2800-office network worldwide. Young also oversees the field services team, operations and national training platform.

Young has more than 20 years of experience in business management, field operations, marketing and real estate operations. Prior to becoming chief operating officer of ERA Real Estate, Young served for five years at Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, first as senior vice president, marketing and later as chief operating officer. During his tenure, Young spearheaded several innovative programs that served as industry firsts while establishing himself as a recognized industry leader.

Previously, Young gained significant real estate field operations experience when he served as a vice president for then Cendant Mortgage (now PHH Mortgage) where he worked closely with brokers in the ERA, Coldwell Banker® and CENTURY 21® systems to implement private-labeled mortgage programs. Before moving to real estate, Young held executive positions at Frequency Marketing Inc., Foote, Cone & Belding Direct, Bell Atlantic (Verizon) Directory Services and the New Jersey Nets.

He is a 1987 graduate of Emory University.
