Welcome to Aruba!
Aruba is about 20 miles long and 6 miles across at its widest point. Our island
is located some 19 miles off the coast of Venezuela. The total area is
approximately 193 KM (77 square miles). The capital of Aruba is Oranjestad.
Aruba is known as "One Happy Island" for several reasons: there is no sales tax
which makes shopping exciting for perfume, liquor, linens, jewelry, watches,
cameras, designer fashions, crystal and china at excellent prices; there are
about a dozen casinos, state of the art conference centers; the nightlife,
consisting of dance clubs, party buses and boats, keep the island excitement
going until the wee morning hours. Each year, about 500,000 cruise ship
passengers disembark in Aruba. Queen Beatrix International Airport is the result
of a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion project which serves a number
of airlines and where connections can be made to any part of the world.
Real Estate in Aruba
Because of the accelerated growth of the economy and consequently, the influx of
thousands of foreign laborers and the local custom to own a private house, the
housing market is experiencing an excessive demand in regard to rental houses.
Construction has also accelerated to meet the growing needs of the vacation home
market.
About ERA in Aruba
SOLITO Real Estate joined ERA in January 2006. ERA SOLITO Real Estate, a
division of SOLITO Trust & Management N.V. was established in 1993 to further
promote the real estate business in Aruba and the development of housing and
commercial projects. Our slogan "We make no promises but care about our
clients" is the base of the company's success. Each client or potential
client receives personal attention and is being taken care of, so that they can
realize their dream not only to possess their own home in Aruba but also to sell
their property for a reasonable price. |
